‘Rabia, Kaysedo rejected → Endo signed’ Liverpool made a huge bid for Guimarães!

With the summer transfer window now closed, Liverpool have reportedly made a stunning bid for Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães.

“Liverpool have made an audacious £100 million bid for Newcastle’s Guimarães with just days left in the summer transfer window,” global media outlet Goal.com reported on Monday (Aug. 8).

After losing several midfielders at the end of last season, including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and Fabinho, the Reds quickly looked to bolster their midfield. The first signing was Alexis Sanchez. In June, Liverpool announced on their official website, “We have agreed to sign McAllister on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee. McAllister has successfully completed a medical and becomes Liverpool’s first signing of the summer transfer window,” the club announced. McAllister added: “Since arriving here, I’ve seen how big this club is. I’m really happy and looking forward to playing here.” 토토사이트

Liverpool immediately began to add to their roster. Next up was Dominik Sobosler. In July, Liverpool officially announced the signing of Sobosler. The deal was worth £60 million and runs until June 2028. Sobosler said, “I’m looking forward to life at Liverpool. The last three or four days have been long and not easy. In the end, I’m here and I’m happy. Liverpool is a historic club, and I like the players and the coaches.”

It didn’t stop there. In addition to McAllister and Sobosler, the Reds were looking to add more midfield reinforcements. Moises Caicedo and Romeo Rabia were among the targets. However, both were snapped up by Chelsea.

In need of additional third-line reinforcements, Liverpool put out the fire by signing Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo. Although he was older than the aforementioned Caicedo and Rabia and had some question marks over his skill set, the Reds managed to get a pretty solid addition for a relatively cheap price. The transfer window has since closed and Liverpool have had a solid start to the season with some midfield reinforcements.

Shortly after the transfer window closed, some interesting news broke. Liverpool made an attempt to sign Guimarães. Guimarães was an integral part of Newcastle’s midfield last season, helping the club reach the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for the first time in 21 years. Liverpool were keen on Guimarães as they looked to bolster their midfield and shake off last season’s struggles.

However, Newcastle’s answer was a resounding no. According to Goal.com, “Newcastle rejected the offer because they see Guimarães as a key player. They are back in the Champions League after more than 20 years away and Eddie Howe will not allow Guimarães to leave Newcastle”. So Liverpool were forced to complete their midfield reinforcements with the signing of Endo.
