‘0-2→8 minutes, 3 goals’ Barcelona theater! Dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Celta Vigo—Levandowski multi-goal + Kancelu late winner

It was theater in Barcelona.

Barcelona pulled off a dramatic 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Celta Vigo in the sixth round of the 2023-24 Spanish La Liga at 1:30 a.m. ET on Thursday at Estadi Olimpique Luis Companis in Barcelona, Spain.

Barcelona deployed a 4-3-3 formation. Thierry Henry was in goal, while Alonso, Christensen, Kunde, and Kancelu formed the back four. Guindoan-Romeu-De Jong lined up in the middle and Felix-Lewandowski-Torres up front.

Celta Vigo came out in a 5-3-2 formation. Villar was in goal, with Ristich-Dominguez-Stafelt-Núñez-Mingueza forming the back four. De la Torre, Beltran, and Bamba lined up in the middle and Larsen-Aspas in the front two.

Barcelona conceded first in the first half. In the 19th minute, a ball cleared by the Barcelona defense on a corner kick found its way to Celta. Barcelona immediately conceded on the counterattack with a quick move, and Jergen Strand Larsen (23) took a pass from Luca de la Torre (25) and finished with his right foot to give Barcelona the lead.

Stung by the blow, Barcelona went on the offensive in search of an equalizer. They gained possession and pushed forward, but were unable to penetrate Celta’s solid back five. To make matters worse, Franckie the Dragon (26) was forced off with an injury in the first half.

As time wore on, Barcelona showed signs of fatigue, and Celta added a second goal. In the 31st minute of the second half, Celta stopped a Barcelona attack and quickly counterattacked, with Iago Aspas (36) finishing off a pass from Anastasios Dubicas (24) to make it a two-goal game.

But Barcelona was just getting started. In the 36th minute, after conceding, Lewandowski collected a roving pass from Felix and calmly rattled the net past the goalkeeper 무지개토토.

Four minutes later, Lewandowski struck again to put the game out of reach. In the 40th minute, after receiving a pass from Joao Cancelo (29), Lewandowski put Celta ahead with a right-footed shot to make it 2-2.

Barcelona didn’t stop there. In the 44th minute, a pass from Gabi (19) into the back of the Celta defense was finished by Kancelu in a sublime move to put the game out of reach.

With three goals in eight minutes, Barcelona dramatically turned a 0-2 deficit into a thrilling 3-2 victory. It was their sixth straight win in all competitions and they moved to the top of La Liga with five wins and a draw.
