“The ink isn’t even dry” Man Utd part ways with ‘trust deficit’ Onana already? AT chief ‘shock’ signing emerges

The ink is not even dry on the contract.

It has been claimed that United are already considering alternatives to new signing Andre Onana, 27. Spain’s Pichajes reported on Friday (Aug. 25) that United are still interested in signing Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

After parting ways with David de Gea, the last legacy of former boss Sir Alex Ferguson, United manager Eric ten Haag brought in Onana, who he worked with during his time in charge of Dutch side Ajax. Onana joined United from Inter Milan in a £43.8 million deal last summer.

However, the current state of affairs is one of ‘no confidence’. In seven games in the English Premier League (EPL) and European Champions League (UCL), Onana has conceded a whopping 14 goals.

“I take a lot of the blame for us not winning,” he said after the 3-2 UCL group stage first leg defeat to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on Nov. 21, “I’m not playing well since I joined United. Today was the worst game of my life,” he said.

Onana was the victim of an early goal error that cost him the game. He turned things around in a 1-0 win at Burnley on April 24. But the ‘clean sheet’ is only two games old. 메이저사이트

Oblak, 30, has been on United’s radar for some time. The Slovenia international is in his 10th season at Atletico Madrid. The two-time La Liga champion is a veteran of 398 appearances.

Oblak is one of Europe’s top goalkeepers. He is contracted to Atletico Madrid until June 2028. Still, the door is open.

Due to Atletico Madrid’s poor financial situation, Oblak has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave if a better offer comes in, according to Pichajes.
