Kim Joo-hyung dropped from 16th to 11th in world ranking

After winning his second straight U.S. Professional Golf (PGA) Tour ShrinersChildren’s Open for a career-best three victories, Kim Joo-hyung has climbed to No. 11 in the world rankings.

Kim Joo-hyung reached his highest ranking since his debut in the men’s golf weekly world rankings, which were released on Sunday, moving up five spots to No. 11 from No. 16 last week. He becomes the second South Korean to crack the top 10 after Choi Kyung-joo, who reached No. 5.

World No. 1-10, including the “Big Three” of Scottie Schaeffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) and Yon Ram (Spain), remained unchanged from last week. Genesis Championship runner-up Im Sung-jae remained at No. 26, while Kim Si-woo, Ahn Byung-hoon and Lee Kyung-hoon remained unchanged at No. 41, 55 and 65. Park Sang-hyun, who won the Genesis Championship, moved up from 270th to 221st.
